Cognizant is a well-known business services provider company. They have various services in various industries. Life science is one of the fields. In the life sciences domain they provide the clinical research study and drug safety services. There is a big job opportunity for pharmacy students and life science graduate students in this field.

Today I'm going to share a story on the lifestyle of a pharmacist in Cognizant or C.T.S. This story is a real-life story of some of my friends, who are working there as drug safety associate and data analyst. They have a B.Pharm and M.Pharm degree.

Question:1 Are you happy there in Cognizant?
Answer: Yes. It's a cool place for work. My job is good and I'm happy with it

Question:2 What is the reason for your happiness?
Answer: Their working campus is really awesome and I have a lot of friends there.

Question:3 Do you have time to chill with them?
Answer: Yes, At lunch break and after duty. Saturday and Sunday is our fun day. We enjoying a lot. Sometimes movies, sometimes restaurants.

Question:4 Do you have night shift duty?
Answer: Yeah. We have night shift duty, but that's cool.

Question:5 Is your pharmacy knowledge is useful there?
Answer: Some times useful. Not much. This is not a mainstream work for pharmacists.

Question:6 What should you have to do in office?
Answer: Look, Our job is project based. When there is more project then you have to work a lot. But when there is less project then you can relax.

Question:7 Are you working on the computer all the time?
Answer: Yes, This is really very painful for our lower back and eyes. That's why I'm using UV protection glass to protect my eyes from blue rays of computers.

Question:8 Do your company provides cab facility?
Answer: Yeah. That's a great thing for us.

Question:9 Are you satisfied with your salary scale?
Answer: Not so much happy with salary. But I love the extra tips and incentives they provide for my extra works. Look comparing to other companies Cognizant gives us less salary.

Question:10 You have problem with salary but still you working in C.T.S, why?
Answer: I love the environment and the friends but after 5 years of experience, I will go for another better job opportunity in better company.

Editors Point Of View:

I understand that they don't have a complaint on their jobs but they are unsatisfied with the salary. They want to work because they love the friendly environment. They also have two days weekend holiday. So they can spend some times with their friends and family.

This is a great review from pharma stream graduates and masters cause they love the working environment. But bad news, they are not satisfied with the salary. So Cognizant should think about this matter.

In this article, I just shared the point of view of some of my pharmacist friends. Not about all pharmacist's lifestyle in Cognizant. So take it like that.
