Diabetes mellitus is formally known as diabetes. Due to some problems in our body the insufficient insulin supply occurs. And that's why the blood sugar level increases this condition is known as diabetes or sugar disease.

So the main concept is when the amount of blood sugar level is higher than normal blood sugar level, that’s call diabetes and when the blood sugar level is lower than normal blood sugar level, that’s call hypoglycemia.

What is insulin?

Insulin is a hormone. This is secreted from the beta cell present in our pancreas. We take any meal. Carbohydrate, protein, and fat are entered into the body. Glucose or sugar is one type of carbohydrate. After the breakdown (digestion) of the carbohydrate, it entered into the blood. That's the time insulin start working on carbohydrates to balance the amount of carbohydrate in the blood.

Why sugar is present in our blood?

In our blood glucose is present as sugar. Glucose is present in our blood for the production of energy or calories. Using that energy we can walk, talk and do every work.

Why the blood sugar level is increased in diabetes?

First of all, you should know that blood sugar or glucose level is balanced by insulin. Insulin is a hormone release from the pancreas. When insulin is not secreted properly then the disorder occurs. If insulin secretes too much then hypoglycemia occurs. When It releases very small or not release then the diabetic occurs in your body.

Do you know what is the normal blood sugar level?

The average normal blood sugar level in human is between 120 – 140 milligrams /decilitre measured after 2 to 4 hours of eating. For a patient under the condition of diabetics is more than 185 milligrams/decilitre measured after 2 to 4 hours of eating.

How do you know that you are a diabetics patient or not?

  • Eye vision becomes blurred because of abnormal sugar in the blood the water of our blood is also decreased.
  • Dizziness for feeling tired
  • Always feeling tired or loss of energy because your cell doesn't have enough energy. For the production of energy cells need water but due to frequent urination or peeing water is excreted.
  • The wound can't heal faster because the platelets can't work properly due to extra glucose in the blood.
  • Weight loss and sometimes obesity because of abnormal glucose content in the body, So that weight loss or weight gain may happen. Diabetes also affects mental health.
